Copy of the license if the test driving a car?
I believe this question has been asked before, but I find additional Information. 1) is a dealer needs to keep a copy of your driver's license, if you have a car for a test? 2) What happens if a dealer a credit check about your license expires without your permission to ask? In addition to the answers I'm looking for link to an authoritative source for answers. I saw two replies to the first question – say, yes, it is impossible to say for insurance purposes and under the assumption that if you rent a car, not to copy your license, then why not require the dealer, or say no assurances that do not require this. In both cases, would be a pointer to some relevant web page (such as DMV, FTC, or is still in question) more convincing. I also have to be on the second question. Can the dealer my credit report BACK? Is committed to the dealer, to give back?
Answers your questions: 1) The dealer receives a copy of your driver makes a two reasons to make sure it is a license valid for an insurance company and two in case something happens on the test drive ex: accident, car jacking, emergency, they know who you are and the person to view them sell. 2) The seller can not run a credit check on the license solely Alone ~ they need your social security number and signed Credit application approved credit performance. 3) The dealer can file a copy of the credit because of their agreement with the source of the credit bureau they use. I always tell my clients to Www.annualcreditreport.com and request a copy of all three offices go. As for the sources for these answers I would www.NADA.com
