What happens if I am in a car accident when my insurance from another state?
I lived in Oklahoma and I live in Arkansas. I noticed that I have changed my policy to take into consideration not to take my address from Arkansas. My insurance is cheaper in Oklahoma. If I "forget" to change what happens when I get to be in an accident?
I disagree. Arkansas law applies. You must report changes of address and a new representative in your new position. If you have moved in the 30 days you are OK if you do not anymore. You are a big no-no with the insurer. Depending of your contract, you must tell the truth. Not reporting the new address is deceptive, because you are trying to save money. They are for the taking responsible for the difference if you move. What is as fast as possible, the company will keep a smiling face have no face frowney. Tell the broker you simply forgotten. If you have ever had an accident, you will be a lot of trouble that the company may or may not be awarded.
