american express car insurance liability
Sunday, June 29th, 2008How to liability insurance for rental car abroad?
We travel to Spain this summer, and that neither the rental car (Avis and Hertz), Stateside, our insurance providers (State Farm), or to offer our company credit card (American Express) liability insurance in a foreign country. I would welcome any advice or any person, the experience of May with this.
I believe that Avis and Hertz do not specify their information about insurance in Europe. Liability Insurance (Liability based on civil and criminal damage) is in the price of the vehicle up to a minimum by the law of the country, in particular, would be required. If they say, that liability insurance is not available to buy, it means that there is no additional liability insurance options for the purchase. You can tell when the booking, a Cars in the U.S. that it is expanding an insurance option as ALI (Additional Liability Insurance) – You can cover the tenant liable for damage and damage to property is legally required beyond the minimum. (The car is automatically covered up to the minimum required for liability). If you Call for an Avis or Hertz REP, it will be able to confirm that the basic liability insurance is already included in your price is valid for the rental Spain. Remember that only the liability and property damage that is covered .. No damage or theft of the rental car itself. Hope this helps!
